2時 1号機屋内の放射線レベル上昇。
3時 1号機、2号機共に「早急に」原子炉格納容器内から放射線を含む蒸気を放出する緊急措置を政府に提案。
3時12分 ★菅総理会見。「明日の午前中、福島原発に視察に行きます！」
4時 1号機原子炉内、ドライウェル圧力が840キロパスカルを突破。設定値の倍の圧力。
★政府が東京電力に対し、総理が到着するまで蒸気放出待機命令。
★この間、1号機内の圧力は上がり続ける。
7時30分 ★総理到着
8時30分 ★総理帰宅
9時 ベントを空け、蒸気を放出しようとするも、2つのうち1つが圧力がかかりすぎて開かない。
10時 水位低下が止まらず。
15時 核燃料の上端が水面上に露出。原発周辺でセシウムを検知。
15時36分 水素爆発。
