スティーブ・ジョブズはアメリカの成功の代表なんかではないし、アメリカにおいても彼は完全な例外です。アメリカの大部分の評論家が言っていたことと真逆のことをやってアップル社を再生させましたし、アメリカのIT界にあっては異端児です。アップル社のイノベーションの仕方は明らかにグーグル社やアマゾン社と異質で、アップル社だけがiPhoneとかiPadでイノベーションを起こし、それを他社が真似するという構図が完全にできあがっています。

スティーブ・ジョブズは株主利益を尊重していませんでしたし（これは公言しています）、MBAどころか大学も数ヶ月で中退していますし、ほぼすべての評論家がMacOSもWindowsのように他メーカーにライセンスすべきというときにライセンスを全部取り消しましたし、インターネット時代に直販小売店戦略を始めるなんてバカバカしいと言われた中でアップルストアを成功させました。しかもアップルストアを始めるに当たって、小売店を締め付け、販売を制限し、販売チャンネルを大幅に減らすという常識では考えにくいことをやっています。評論家や経営のプロが言っていたことの逆のことをすることによって、ジョン・スカリーなどの経営のプロがぼろぼろにしてしまったアップル社を立て直したのです。

アメリカでも完全に例外であるスティーブ・ジョブズのような傑出した起業家が出てこないのは、別に日本だけの悩みではなく、アメリカの悩みでもあり、iPhoneやiPadを真似ることしかできていない韓国の悩みでもあります。
